Introducing the 2014/2015 Design Team and a SVG Freebie!

Next week begins the third season of Creative Cutting Challenge!
Before we begin, we'd like to introduce to you this season's Design Team.  After the introductions are made, grab your SVG freebie and get ready to play along!

First up, please meet this season's new Design Team members:
Jan
Blog:  Izbzee
"I am a lifelong crafter and love learning new techniques and fine tuning my passion for crafting and creating.  I have worked in lots of mediums over the years and love paper-crafting, stamping, quilting, stitching, designing and more!  I hold twice-weekly  crafting classes in my "studio" and love to support others in their crafting while teaching and creating handcrafted items in many mediums.  I am a wife, mom and grandma.   My hubby and I live in Oklahoma."
Marina
Blog:  My Perfect Life
"I’m Marina from the UK. I work full-time in education and I have a family, but in my free-time, I love to make things.   I enjoy having an idea and trying to make it work. (Sometimes it works better than others!) That’s why I love using my electronic die-cutting machine: combined with my traditional papercrafting tools (such as stamps and inks), it’s a great way to make my crafty ideas a reality.  My first love is card-making but I also like to scrapbook and dabble in other crafty things too .I’m on three design teams, Inkspirational, Pinspirational and Make My Monday. I’m delighted to join the Creative Cutting DT and look forward to having even more fun with SVGs."
Valou
"My name is ValĂ©rie Allard, better known under the pseudo 'valou250809'. I live in Belgium just next to the big city of Chaleroi and 40 kilometers from Brussels.  I have 5 children from 5 to 14 years old. I have scrapped since 2006 and my style is “Shabby Chic” but I know also how to create in a vintage style or Clean & Simple without any problem. I create a great deal of cards and home decoration projects."
Vicki
Blog:  Izzaboutchu!
"Hi, my name is Vicki, alias 'Opal777' and 'IzzaBoutChu!' within the internet world.  I have lived in balmy Daytona Beach, Florida for the past 20+ years and in western Pennsylvania prior to that. I came here to be a teacher for the hearing impaired and crafting was a big part of my curriculum for my students. It is amazing how you can sneak it into math, science and language lessons to make learning more interesting and memorable.  I love paper crafting, sewing, embroidering, painting, gardening etc....the list goes on and on.  I love finding old things and making them new again.  I love to design cutting files and have a website where I share them for free.  I also lead a group on Facebook called 'IzzaBoutChu!'  I love what I do and love to share with others even more.  I use mostly Pazzles supplies from the Inspiration machine and all of the tools, to the Inspiration Pro program.  I am looking forward to sharing with all of you in this upcoming year.

The following DT members have been with the team for all three seasons.
Carolyn
"I am a lady that enjoys crafting of anything.  I started with stamping, oh about eight years ago by attending a Stampin' Up party and from there grew into digital stamps, cutting SVG files, using first a Cricut personal cutter.  I have graduated to a Silhouette Cameo which I love.  I have created svg cut files for the enjoyment of it.  I also quilt and crochet.  I enjoy reading good books...thrillers, spy novels (i.e. Tom Clancy, Clive Cussler and Robert Ludlum books).  And I will sit and watch reruns over and over again, such as NCIS, or one of the CIS series....lol  I am a widow with one son in the Army, serving in Korea for the next year.  His family with him in Korea...a lot of skyping and chatting on Facebook.  They have two girls, Alexis 13 and Kassidy 10.  I am a transplanted Hoosier from Warsaw, Indiana having married my husband who was originally from Indiana.  I have a step-daughter Sonya with three children; and a step-son with two girls.  Sonya has a step-daughter age 26, her daughter 24 and a boy 20.  Step-sons two girls age 25, married and has a 4 yr old little boy and a baby.  Second daughter is 23 and so far single!!  I presently live with my sister in Alabama but miss the cold wintery days of Indiana...lol."
Tina
"I've always been a crafter of some sort but scrapbooking started with a couple of friends introducing me to the craft in 2007 and I've been at it since. I always loved taking pictures but then I just put them in an album, but scrapbooking changed all that, it redefined for me how to present a photo. Cardmaking began for me when I took a class at my local scrapbook shop: Scrapin' with Kat. I so fell in love with this craft.  The newest rage is SMASH-another form of scrapbooking but in a different light. When I started it reminded me of the notebooks I did in Jr. High school of ideas like wedding dresses, the cute men at the time or home ideas where you smoosh them on the page any way you want with a little doodling besides. Some of my favorite products is my cricut, my SCAL program and my cuddlebug/big shot. They all seem to work together in my papercrafting, but I'm just now starting to get in the stamping side of cardmaking and enjoy that also. I like doing cardmaking, SMASHing and scrapping and I like learning new techniques with it. Scrapbooking and Smashing shows what is going on at the time, in a creative way. I feel a card I make myself really comes from the heart and is just more rewarding to give."
Cindy
SVG Designer and DT Leader
"I've been a painter for over 25 years and had hesitated getting into papercrafting as I "already had enough hobbies",  but my sister became a Stampin' Up demonstrator and I received lots of product by helping her out hosting a party and then letting her pay off a washer with stamps! I basically just fiddled around making a few cards now and then.  Since I don't have kids I didn't think I "needed" to scrapbook. That all changed when my sisters, Mom and I created a scrapbook for my Dad's 70th birthday and I really enjoyed it. So...I made scrapbooks for my dogs!  And then for trips. Now I scrap everything that is meaningful to me. A few years ago I got a Cricut to make scrapping easier and then discovered Sure Cuts A Lot. What a revelation! I could make anything I wanted from paper! Now I design SVG files that I offer for free and sell online.  An avid "Challenge Enter-er" (is that a word?  lol) I decided to create this blog as I couldn't find any Challenges dedicated to SVG diecuts.  This past summer I upgraded to a larger, more powerful cutter:  The Silver Bullet.  I'm looking forward to giving it a workout this season!  I live "up in Northern Michigan" in the woods on a little lake...heaven on earth...with my hubby and bulldog Gus."

We also are fortunate to have two former DT members agree to be occasional "Guest Designers"...
Heather
"My name is Heather A. Hudson, I live in Pinckney, Michigan with my two teenage sons, hubby and two kitties.  I am a Registered Nurse, working with one special Ventilator dependent teen (4 years now).  I currently work full time, and design for Gecko Galz, Really Reasonable Ribbon and Art Glitter.  In the past I have designed for Bella Creations & Scraptales (both closed now), Globecraft & Piccola, Sugar Creek Hollow and Pro 31 Designs.   I have been playing with paper since 2010. I love to create digital collage sheets, and convert them into Print and Cut files.  I also enjoy doing tutorials on Youtube.  I host my own Challenge blog that started in January.  I am so excited to be a Guest Designer for the amazing Creative Cutting Design Team!  I look forward to sharing my work with you, and seeing what you have come up with for our challenges."
Victoria
I come from a "crafty" family and have felt the creative urge for as long as I can remember.  From drawing and painting, to needlecrafts, I dabble in it all, but papercrafting...particularly card making...is my passion.  I also have a tendency to hoard away craft supplies and have been trying to overcome my aversion to cutting into the "good" paper...hence I am the Paper Squirrel!  I love all things vintage and my creative style often reflects this, however, I am not hard and fast vintage.  I also enjoy working with more modern and masculine themes, and often incorporate collage and altered objects into my projects. I am a life-long resident of the great state of Michigan, and currently live in Southeast Michigan with my “boys”…my husband, infant son, and two crazy cats.  I completely lost my crafting mojo while pregnant and am just now getting back that creative itch.  I play in the studio (basement) whenever I get bits of free time (which isn't much, but I'll take any I can get!).

And that is our AMAZING 2014/2015 Design Team!  We hope you'll be back Monday, September 8th for the third season Kick-Off.  I know you'll love seeing what this group of talented ladies will be presenting!
